In case you missed it this month is the 10th anniversary of SETI@home going live. So "hooray" for the granddaddy of volunteer computing & BOINC! It's done quite a lot of work & made a big impact in 10 years, including of course the "spinoff" BOINC which has a lot of projects doing science including CPDN.

For a little "history" here's a pic on my first visit with the SETI@home gang in December of 2003, just after the climateprediction.net launch ("CPDN classic") in September, when we were first looking to move to the new BOINC (cpdn was one of the first boinc projects). from left to right back row (forgot the guy's name in front!) - Matt Lebofsky, Jeff "Cobblestone" Cobb, unknown student worker?, David Anderson, Dan Wertheimer, & me.

Matt said that "unknown student worker?" is Aaron Parsons--
who still works with Dan in various contexts...
