Among other things, Stanford is not responsible for:

    • repetitively accessing the internal or external accelerometer using QCN software,
    • actions the participant might take while manipulating the accelerometer and associated software,
    • Engaging in activities described by online Content.
  2. any distress to participant caused by interpretation of individual or aggregated acceleration data displayed through QCN Content.
  3. any actions, inactions, damages, or injuries resulting from third party presentation or reproduction of QCN Content.
  4. any actions, inactions, damages, or injuries resulting from fraudulent accelerations reported to QCN issued by participant computers.

Privacy Policy. The participant understands that the non-personal data (acceleration data) and metadata (উদাহরণস্বরূপ, sensor location, timing information) collected by his/her computer (and associated sensor) will be shared publicly online. By participating in the Quake-Catcher Network you agree to and confirm that you understand provisions and conditions set forth in the Quake-Catcher Network’s Privacy Policy.

Minors. We do not collect or disseminate information regarding the age of the visitors (participants and non-participants alike) in any form. The private information for young and adult visitors are protected identically. QCN will not tolerate nor maintain any Content that displays any Ad(s), Link(s), or Referral Button(s) on any QCN-related Web page or any QCN Web site that contains any pornographic, hate-related, violent, or illegal content. QCN cannot stop visiting participants from temporarily adding inappropriate Content to participant-related forms and forums, but will respond and remove all identified instances of such Content. Accounts associated with generation of verified pornographic, hate-related, violent, or illegal Content will be terminated immediately.

  1. The end user does not buy or sell the seismic meta-data and waveform data.
  2. When possible, the end user will acknowledge/reference the Quake-Catcher Network in any and all reproductions, publications, presentations derived from such waveform data and/or metadata. Information from the latter two methods necessarily transfers location information to and from Google.com, but does not transfer any other information associated with the query.
