Introduction:

The Quake-Catcher Network is made possible with the support of interested volunteers such as yourself. We encourage you to participate as much or as little as you want. Most volunteers participate by hosting a QCN sensor on their computer to monitor for earthquakes. QCN's software monitors for strong new motions from earthquakes. All it takes is requesting a sensor, installing some software, and fastening the sensor to the floor. You can also enroll in QCN's Rapid Aftershock Mobilization Program (RAMP) to assist in the event of a major earthquake in your area.
